Audio out of these cameras is not good. You really have to record audio separately to get a good sound. However, the main problem with the audio recording on these cameras is the AGC. So take a look at this tutorial for a cheap DIY workaround.
Do you know John Hyland? If you don't and you are on Twitter, follow him now, his handle is @johnhyland . He is the brains behind this little short film about building a snowman. It is a little over a minute long and covers the full range of emotions. There is laughter,there are tears, there is hope and utter disappointment. The fact that he was able to capture so much in such a short piece is astounding. He is very talented and this is hilarious to me. Anyway watch it for yourselves then let me know what you think.Oh yeah and listen carefully to the audio throughout in the background.
I really enjoy the effect of tilt-shift. I think I really enjoy it for some of the reasons I enjoy
timelapses so much. It takes an everyday activity and makes it look different. Surreal. I like to try to see things from a different perspective and that's why I really loved this short.
